GIFEx 2.2 is viewer, editor and convertor for icons in .gif, .ico and .bmp formats. It can edit single images and also .gif animations (frame by frame). It allows conversion of supported formats in all ways (gif2ico, gif2bmp, ico2gif, ico2bmp, bmp2ico, bmp2gif). It can edit images in size 32x32 (standard windows icon size) or 40x40 (size used in GIF Icon Gallery - with border).
Description of main program functions:

• open .gif, .ico or .bmp icon sized 40x40 or 32x32 pixels (with possible automatic border drawing)
• view .gif animation in preview panel and by single frames
• show picture (of selected frame) in eight-times zoom
• edit picture with many tools:
  • flip vertically or horizontally and rotate
  • pen: write to image
  • fill: filling of image areas
  • line, rectangle, ellipse: drawing shapes
  • text: writting in specified font
  • cut, copy, paste: Windows clipboard functionality
  • other tools ...
• save picture (single frame) as .gif icon
• save whole animation as .gif icon
• save picture (single frame) as .ico icon
• save picture (single frame) as .bmp icon
• select size of saved icon (with border 40x40 or without border 32x32)

New in version 2.2:

• performs as gif animator. i.e. it is possible to insert new frames, delete existing frames, move frames to another position, set animation speed (frame delay)
• image can be rotated in any angle
• corrected bugs
• setup program, install into selected folder and uninstall including registry cleaning
• documentation in .chm file (can be called from program as context help)

Program GIFex is FREEWARE, and must be distributed without any fee (except of shipping expences). It is made with Delphi 7.0 Personal, using component libraries LMD Tools SE and TGifImage. It is designed for Microsoft Windows (preferrably XP), and was not tested on other platforms. You can set English language version of GIFex - click on (setup) button in program toolbar.
